How to Connect to a NAS Device on Your Network
- Connect to your GNARBOX and open up the GNARBOX App.
- Connect your GNARBOX to your Internet Router via USB-C to Ethernet dongle (instructions here), or switch your GNARBOX into Home Mode (instructions here). Ethernet is recommended for a stable connection.
- Head back to the Browser screen and tap Servers +.
- Your GNARBOX will display available servers on this network. Select the device you wish to browse.
- (Optional) To log in as a registered user, tap Connect As.... Enter your login details to continue.
- Then, tap the sharepoint you wish to mount to your GNARBOX.
- Your sharepoint will then mount to your GNARBOX.
How to Connect to a NAS Device Using a Manual Server Address
- Connect to your GNARBOX and open up the GNARBOX App.
- Connect your GNARBOX to your Internet Router via USB-C to Ethernet dongle (instructions here), or switch your GNARBOX into Home Mode (instructions here). Ethernet is recommended for a stable connection.
- Head back to the Browser screen and tap Servers +.
- Tap Other....
- Enter the server address for your device and press Connect.
- (Optional) To log in as a registered user, tap Connect As.... Enter your login details to continue.
- Then, tap the sharepoint you wish to mount to your GNARBOX.
- Your sharepoint will then mount to your GNARBOX.
How to Connect to a NAS Device on a Closed Network
- Connect to your GNARBOX and navigate to the Settings page in the GNARBOX App.
- Tap IP Address Configuration.
- Choose Wireless IP Address or Ethernet IP Address based on your desired connection. We recommend Ethernet for a more stable connection.
- Switch the Automatic toggle off.
- Enter the manual IP information required for the network device, then tap Submit.
- Your mobile device will be disconnected from your GNARBOX. Reconnect to the GNARBOX 2.0 SSD WiFi network.
- Open the GNARBOX App and tap Servers +.
- Your GNARBOX will display available servers on this network. Select the device you wish to browse.
- (Optional) To log in as a registered user, tap Connect As.... Enter your login details to continue.
- Then, tap the sharepoint you wish to mount to your GNARBOX.
- Your sharepoint will then mount to your GNARBOX.
How to Disconnect a NAS Network Attached Storage Device From Your GNARBOX
- From the Browser screen in the GNARBOX App, tap the Quick-Action Icon.
- Tap Forget Device to eject.
